Since the beginning of the delivery of notices for the vacation of properties in northern Mitrovica, the Kosovo Property Comparison and Verification Agency (KPCVA) has verified and found that 6 properties were voluntarily vacated, which were then returned to their lawful owners.

One case, according to a request submitted by a lawful owner, ended with the closing of the request for the vacation of property.

Yesterday, on 12.07.2024, the KPCVA through the Acting Head of the Regional Office in Mitrovica handed over the keys to a lawful owner who had not been using his property for over 25 years.

The Kosovo Property Comparison and Verification Agency assures all citizens that under its mandate and in accordance with the law, will continue with the vacation of illegally used properties throughout the territory of the Republic of Kosovo and return them to their lawful owners.

Therefore, the KPCVA calls all illegal users of properties who are subject to property vacation requests to cooperate and vacate properties voluntarily in order to avoid legal remedies that may be taken to vacate properties.
