On July 11, 2024, the Director of the Kosovo Property Comparison and Verification Agency (KPCVA), Afërdita Beka Arifaj, conducted an information session in Mitrovica North, attended by individuals facing eviction orders. Facilitated by the EU Special Representative’s team in Kosovo, this session aimed to ensure continued communication with the affected parties and discuss their housing needs. While noting that these cases have been adjudicated, with final decisions that are binding and legally enforceable, Director Beka Arifaj engaged with affected individuals to explore appropriate housing solutions. She also urged them to cooperate with the institution and vacate the properties voluntarily, underscoring KPCVA’s commitment to safeguarding property rights across Kosovo in accordance with relevant legislation.
